Fright Fight Kickstarter: Smash Bros. Meets Zombies

zGames I recently discovered a neat little kickstarter for any Super Smash Bros. fans out there that prefer zombies and horrifying children over plumbers and yellow electrocution mice. If that got your interest, check out Fright Fight, a nice little gem from zGames that they explain as,

“An adrenaline-pumping 3D online multiplayer platform fighting game featuring all your favorite horror characters in an ominous game setting. Inspired by the legendary ‘Super Smash Bros’. Releasing on iOS and Android, including NVIDIA SHIELD and OUYA!”

One interesting aspect of the game is its use of gesture recognition controls for combat. This is a godsend since I would rather awaken Lord Cthulhu than waste my time with touchscreen buttons. Also, I’ve always wanted to beat up a werewolf with a clockwork yeti and that longtime dream might finally be possible.

Fright Fight’s developer, zGames, is a Houston based indie company that’s been in the game scene since 2008 and has already got a nice chunk of this new game put together. But to complete it, they’ll need their $50,000 Kickstarter goal to:

  • Create Bot AI
  • Build a productive and fast game server
  • Add Support for Android (including OUYA and SHIELD)

Above that, they also have a whole sleuth of extra features and characters in line as stretch goals.

Check out the Fright Fight Kickstarter page in the link below, and be sure to toss in a few bucks and share the word before its deadline on December 1st. The devs over at zGames and the indie community would more than appreciate the love.

They’re also currently looking for Fright Fight alpha testers if that tickles your fancy. Now have at it!
