Steam Summer Sale Sailing Smoothly

Summer SaleThis year’s Steam Summer Sale is moving along nicely and has had a ton of great, borderline insane, deals that I hope you have not missed. Alongside the discounts, Steam has added a nice little quirk involving cards to up the ante in acquiring their traditional Steam Summer Sale Achievements.

Some major titles have already gone through the Steam Summer Sale discount phase over the past few days. These include not only the new Tomb Raider, but also Kerbal Space Program, System Shock 2, Civilization V, Torchlight 2, Deadlight, Fallout: New Vegas, The Witcher 2, and about a thousand other titles I won’t be listing here. Many of these, if not all of them, are still being heavily discounted even now and it would be a crime if you did not at least grab a few of them while the pickings are still hot.

Steam Summer SaleIf you are one of those fabled Steam Achievement Hunters then achieving your achievement goal can be pretty easily achieved (x4 combo!). You have to collect 10 different post cards (Virtual post cards if you were wondering) that depict some interesting artwork from a number of games. You can find these cards by purchasing games on sale (Card carrying games are labeled at their picture corners) or by continually voting for the next Community’s Choice game. Do this and you will eventually get that achievement your desiring (Already 6 out of 10, baby!).

Dead Island Post CardSo be sure to check out the sale while it still lasts if you want to stock up on those titles you’ve been missing out on. If you don’t have a Steam account…. wow, get to it here! You are definitely missing out!

You can check out the Steam Summer Sale for yourself by following the link provided. If you are wanting something a bit more organized, you can find a complete and straightforward list of all discounted games at Steamdb.

Please share what game you are desperately wanting out of this sale in the comment section below happy discount hunting!
